Historical Evolution of Ilm-e-Dalail-un-Nabuwa

Abstract

The research article aims to analyze the historical evolution of Ilm-e-Dalail-un-Nabuwa.  Seerah is a prominent subject among the sciences that Muslims focused on for the understanding and preaching of Islam. Ilm-e-Dalail-un-Nabuwa is a branch of the Seerah in which the beliefs related to the prophet-hood of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) are clarified with the help of sound arguments. It is a matter of   pride for Muslims that they have done extraordinary services for the development and interpretation of this specific domain of knowledge in different periods of history. As a result of these outstanding services, not only did the Muslims defend the Islamic faiths regarding the concept of Prophet-hood, but also provided strong evidence of their love and affection for the Holy Prophet (PBUH). These activities lead to intellectual growth, academic progress, political stability and social awareness among Muslims. Analysis of these academic services is an important need of people involved in research and teaching. This research article is being presented to fulfill this need.
