transform society, truthfulness, Paradise, foundation of faithAbstract
These points collectively reflect the comprehensive teachings of Islam, which purify a person’s inner self and transform society into a place of justice, peace, brotherhood, and moral excellence. Islam declares truthfulness as a means to Paradise and falsehood as a path to Hell. Trustworthiness is considered a foundation of faith, and fulfilling promises is a sign of true religiosity, while the loss of trust is counted among the signs of the Last Day. Justice is not confined to courts; rather, every individual is required to uphold justice according to their capacity—even with opponents—because justice is a mark of piety. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) upheld justice without any distinction between friend and stranger. Compassion, mercy, and forgiveness are among the highest qualities of faith according to the Qur’an and Hadith, for Allah is Most Merciful and His devoted servants forgive the faults of others, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) was the most merciful and forgiving of all. Islam teaches unity, equality, and brotherhood, rejecting distinctions of caste, color, race, and nationality. It strictly condemns injustice, oppression, corruption, and wrongdoing, for oppression will appear as darkness on the Day of Judgment and the supplication of the oppressed is never rejected. Islam promotes social justice, prohibits class-based discrimination, and stands firmly against terrorism, violence, and disorder; killing an innocent person is regarded as killing all of humanity, while saving a single life is like saving all of humankind. A true Muslim is one who benefits others and causes no harm. Worldliness and excessive attachment to material life are condemned by Allah and His Messenger, for worldly wealth holds no value in the sight of Allah; hence at times disbelievers appear prosperous while believers face hardship. Materialism leads to greed, selfishness, miserliness, and spiritual decline, whereas asceticism, contentment, worship, and concern for the Hereafter lead a person toward true success and inner peace.
